EXPLORING TOURIST ATTRACTIONS OF KWARA SOUTH- By ABDULQUADRI AYINDE SANNI.

EXPLORING TOURIST ATTRACTIONS OF KWARA SOUTH.

A Personal review about the #ExploreKwaraSouthTour

In the area of Igbomina town of Esie, Irepodun LGA Kwara State lays the very first museum in Nigeria. Established in 1945 and houses one of the greatest treasures ever bequeathed to mankind, Esie Stone Images [Éré Esiè]

Sighting her very own Ere Esie was breath catching as the museum has historically housed over 1000 tombstones along with varieties of historical tools used by our heroes past. Ere Esie has been the most reputed museum to have the largest number of soapstone collections not just in Africa but in the entire World.

Before the advent of Islam and Christianity,  Esie museum has been the center of religious activities and hosts a festival in the month of April every year. October 26th 2019 I saw with my eye the Ere Esie which I believe every Tourist from around the World should see too. The story of Esie would be told to the World.

We need to present Kwara State tourist attractions to the World so they can know about the richness in her cultural and traditional mythology.

Pictures from the tour:

Owu Waterfalls (wonder in the wilderness) is located in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State Nigeria. Owu waterfalls is 120m above the water level and it pours 330 feet down an escarpment. Owu is a mysterious waterfall that increases it's volume as the decibel of sound increases.

I will add that if those two tourist attractions mentioned above could be well developed, I mean the whole community and not just the precise locations of the tourist centers, it will be more conducive for tourists and will as well generate more revenues.

With adequate means of transportation provided and security, people will gladly take Vacations from their Place of work to unwind with history and nature of Kwara State Tourist Attractions.
