VISIT TO OWU FALL; UNSUITABLE FOR A WILLING TOURIST, TALK MORE OF AN UNWILLING ONE

As a first timer, I jumped up at the sound of an opportunity to visit the much talked about Owu fall.
From peers, I've heard talks about the magnificent fall in the Southern part of Kwara and ever since, I've anticipated the day I'll set my eyes on the much talked about scenery.

Not so long after the bus turned to enter IFELODUN LGA than I had start to regret the journey as the bus swerved left and right due to bad road; but the hope of seeing the fall kept me joyful.

My high hope must have reduced to 10% when I learnt I have to journey 7km before seeing the beauty that awaits me.

With active and lively people around, I spread my legs out to move....

And so we journeyed 7 dissatisfying km to Owu fall. Walking through those paths would have been termed exercise, but for the pebbles and stones that filled the very much sloping path.

On sighting the fall, I forgot the sorrow of walking such long distance and proceeded to feel the coolness of the water (what's visiting the fall without enjoying the water).
I had my share of the water to the satisfaction of one that does not know to swim, and the time came for us to head back to where our buses were packed.

I have not walked 1km when I found out my body can't help me through the journey back.
With the help of a newly founded brother/friend (Egghead), I got to some reasonable point where my leg started to fail me.

As I begged for another helper, the brother on my left held me to continue the journey. Not long after, we approached the highest slope and I needed another hand to help my body uphill, the brother on my right couldn't ignore my current state and so against the will of his strength, decided to help....

I had fun going on this journey, but I have promised myself to not visit Owu fall until an alternative to this 14km to and fro walk is found.

Many Thanks to Sen.  Lola Ashiru for sponsoring this tour.
Thanks to Ankara tour.
Thanks to Everyone that made the tour memorable.
May we all live to see Owu fall and other lovely places in Kwara South, Kwara State and Nigeria at large get developed.

  2. So sorry about the stress you have to undergo, nevertheless it worth, the immediate past administration was a complete failure, I can't imagine that's same local government where the former governor allegedly hailed from.
