INEC DECLARES DAVID LYON OF APC WINNER OF BAYELSA STATE GUBER ELECTION

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared David Lyon of the APC the winner of Bayelsa guber election.
He garnered 352, 552 votes to defeat his closest rival , Douye Diri of the PDP who had 143, 172 votes in the eight local government areas of Bayelsa state.
Total Registered Votes – 922,562
Total Votes Accredited – 517,883
Total Valid Votes – 499,551
Total Invalid Votes – 6333
Total Votes Cast – 505,885
APC 352,552
PDP 143,172
This is the first time since 1999 that an opposition party will win the Governorship seat in Bayelsa State!!
