Seun Awogbenle receives Award of Excellence from Unilorin. 

Seun Awogbenle, Co-founder Millennials Active Citizenship Advocacy Africa has been recognized by the Student Union, Senate Council of the University of Ilorin for his tireless and immeasurable contribution towards youth inclusion and advancement in governance.

Seun Awogbenle who is also the Convener of the Citizens Conference an annual convergence for young people to lead the way in public good and social change, was presented with the award on Tuesday, 17 December 2019, during the 2nd Student Parliamentary Summit held at the University of Ilorin main Auditorium.

He was recognized alongside the former Majority Leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Hassan Oyeleke, Deputy minority leader of the Ondo Stare House of Assembly Hon. Tomide Akinribido, member of the Kwara State House of Assembly Hon. Abdulgafar Ayilara and Executive Director To Build a Nation (TBAN) Jude Feranmi.

Speaking on the award of excellence, Seun Awogbenle described the recognition of honour as a conscious reminder of the need for him to continue to recommit himself to public good.
In his words, he said “while our present reality as a nation is grim and stark, the youth demography must not give in to despair or hopelessness. We must stand tall to demand for better outcomes from government and inclusion of young people in politics to reflect our demographic realities.”

Seun Awogbenle is the Co-founded, Milennials Active Citizenship Advocacy Africa in 2017, as youth-led citizens movement to help young people find their voice, unlock the power of the citizen and drive the change they want to see, through the non-profit he has committed to promoting responsible leadership by shaping a new generation of citizens, who are constantly involved and engaged for the greater good.

As a Public Policy Analyst on different Media Platforms across Nigeria, he has been able to shape public narrative with informed, balanced opinion and consistently demand from the government at all level to deliver on the promises of prosperity and democratic dividends.
