Kwara Speaker charges Police recruits on high moral values

Not fewer than twelve (12) newly commissioned police constables of Baruten local government descent today paid a thank you visit to the Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi for his support in their recruitment into the Force.

Danladi, while receiving the police officers congratulated them on their successful recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force and enjoined them not to dissociate themselves from Baruten land.

According to a statement issued by his Special Assistant, Media, Ibrahim Sheriff, the Speaker charged the new Police recruits to conduct themselves with high level of integrity in the course of discharging their duties.

He said "I indulge you all to be good ambassadors of Baruten, protect the dignity of Kwara state and make a difference in the policing of Nigeria.I am confident you all will be our source of pride and reignite public confidence in the Police Force".

"I charge you all to support governments at all levels in ensuring safety of lives and properties wherever you are posted to. You all are not oblivious of the security challenges in the country and that is what you are on board to address", Danladi added.

Also speaking at the meeting, Member representing Okuta/Yashikira constituency, Hon. Mohammed Baba Saliu admonished the newly commissioned constables to be of good character and take advantage of their young age to strive in pursuit of academic upgrade in a bid to secure a brighter future for themselves in their careers.

The Commissioner for Energy , Lafia Aliyu Kora Sabi, in his  reaction, advised the constables to be focused and goal driven, contented and maintain good saving culture to guarantee themselves financial freedom. This he said would prevent against bribery, corruption and illegal financial inducement.

Responding on behalf of the Police Constables, Idris Abdulmaliq appreciated the Hon. Speaker for his magnanimity and promised that they would be diligent and faithful in discharging their duties.

"We shall uphold the dignity of our heritage and do all within our capacity to secure lives and properties of Nigerians in a responsible manner", Idris said.
