44 Gallant Salutes To A Salient Philanthropist- By Tunde Razaq 

I was watching a video clip of some elementary school students donating gifts to a driver that usually takes them to school every day. The clip was too emotional and thoughtful,  in fact it made me wept on how such amazing kids have magnanimity and generosity of touching one's life positively. They chose to give back to the driver that drives them to school! They filled up the driver's bag with gift and money in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan. It was visibly overwhelmingly joyous, all over the driver.

In 2017, then at NTA Uzairue, a superior reporter assigned to go and cover a birthday celebration at a orphanage home called Isogena Orphanage Home.

It was a birthday celebrations of youthful, vibrant yet generous and amazing personalities in persons of Engr Kayode Adamolekun and Engineer Alabi Ade Israel. They duos were coincidentally born on the same day and decided to uniquely celebrate their important day with the less privileged, the vulnerable! They indeed touched lives.

I could remember vividly on that good day,  it was a moment of encomium upon encomium as one could actually understand that the celebrant was there to make a difference.  Since then, Engr Kayode also fondly called "Kay" remained true philanthropist - always touching lives.

Walking through his life,  I was meant to understand that he has been celebrating his birthdays with the less privileged, the sick and the vulnerable. It has become a part of his tradition.

In fact on that maiden celebration at the orphan, Mr Kay gracefully, graciously and generously offered scholarships to a set of twins. It was phenomenal. That day, no doubt, was one of happiest moments in Isogena Orphanage, Auchi.

While talking to him,  he said this is the way he has chosen to be celebrating his birthdays ( Touching lives) and so he shall continue as that can only make the society a better place.

That day was the first day I was meeting Engineer Kayode,  his human relation was wow,  so calm,  cool and respectful. We exchanged pleasantries, then contacts as he asked me "please call me and let's talk when I get back to Abeokuta".  Ok sir I replied.

The following day my phone got spoilt,   I called him and told him I was out of phone,  so I was incapacitated, he got to know and directed I should go get a new phone and ever since then we have been more than family.

No wonder Philanthropy has been synonymous to the love of humanity,  it could also be  seen as a private initiative for public good focusing on quality of lives, poverty alleviation and economic empowerment,  it also allowed to connect and share values, as it’s ultimately our hearts and values that draw people to philanthropy, whether  working at a foundation or as an individual giver of money or volunteer time, People are moved to help others.


The cry of the new born baby echoed the air in Aisegba town on the 5th of May 1976, when  Chief and Mrs Adamolekun welcomed a bouncing baby boy later named Kayode meaning the 'bringer of joy',  as He has over his sojourn on earth lived true to his name as the bringer of joy' to his people through his various acts of philanthropy and show of kindness.

Joseph kayode started his early education in Aisegba and later proceed to Aisegba grammar school, after completing his secondary education, kayode as fondly called by folks proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti where he was certified as a Mining Engineer. He had his one year compulsory service to his father land, in Jigawa, north western part of the country. 

His quest for reading did not stop as he furthered his studies at University of Leicester where he had his mining CPD tailing facility management and other advance courses in mining. He is a certified Member of Nigeria Society of Mining Engineers; Nigeria Mining and Geo science Society, and Member International Society of Explosive Engineers.

Engineer Kayode Adamolekun, the founder of  Hardams Concept Nigeria Limited which  has its branches in Ibadan and Abeokuta currently,  the  company's headquarters also houses a foundation  named KAYODE ADAMOLEKUN FOUNDATION, which has brought smiles to thousands of people in his aisegba hometown of Ekiti state, Ekiti state and Nigeria in general. The foundation helps the less privileged in the society, widows and  unemployed youths with the  aim of empowering and making people smile.

Great Kay  a philanthropist and a care giver with the sole mission of impacting the world, since his days growing up has been a beacon of hope, happy doing what he knows best touching thousands of lives despite not occupying any public office.  No wonder he is described as the best philanthropist in the world by his friends.

I once said to him sir,  Collect every ounce of your goodness, make it into a treasure of Blessings,  it will fulfil all your wishes and hold a regard higher than any thing else,   I am very convinced that the good deed of Boss Kay will always stand with him, and will definitely be an act of worship for him in the presence of the Most High.

Adams, an achiever; calm, focused, highly motivated and enthusiastic man with solid public relation Management, excellent communication skills. Armed with a strong work ethic and determination to succeed. Proven ability to ‘think outside the box’ in identifying problems and implementing innovative solutions, which has been used to bring respite to the downtrodden, he has been honored by different people from different walks of life as his award shelves is full to brim. But hardly talk about them due to his humility. He is blessed with three energetic brilliant boys.
