Gov AbdulRazaq approved the Appointments of 10 new Perm Secs, to resume duties with immediate effect

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the appointment of 10 new permanent secretaries (PS) to head various ministries, departments, and agencies of the government — barely two weeks after a crop of eight new PS were unveiled.

This was made known to our Media Team through an official statement issued by Mal Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.

He furtherly stated that;

The appointments are with immediate effect while the Office of the Head of Service and Civil Service Commission are to ensure seamless transition, according to a statement Thursday by the chief press secretary to the Governor Rafiu Ajakaye.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the appointment of 10 more permanent secretaries (PS) to head various ministries, departments, and agencies of the @kwaragovt in his bid to reinvigorate the Civil Service.

Names, Ministries, Departments and Agencies of all the 18 PS:

1. Shehu Boni Ahmed - Establishment
2. Olorukooba Isiaka Yinka - Works 3. Iyabo Banire - Sports
4. Sabiyatu Kikelomo Grillo - Cabinet, Political & Special services
5. Okanlawon Musa - Water Resources
6. Jolayemi John Olugbenga - Service Welfare
7. Abraham Kola Ojo - Environment
8. Halimot Aduke Eletu Enterprise
9. Rabiat Abdulrahman - Communication
10. Yusuf Bolakale - Special Duties
11. Bamigbe Rotimi Williams - Energy
12. Musa Idris - Justice
13. Nurudeen Maryam - Agric
14. Goshi Jiya - Civil Service Commission
15. Adeosun Mary - Education
16. Ibrahim Adenike - Social Development
17. Ayinla Olayiwola - Health
18. Alabere Ahmed - Local Government

Another crop of permanent secretaries will be announced shortly to complete the process, with serving and retired bureaucrats commending the Governor for stabilising and restoring professionalism to the civil service.

These changes are made to reinvigorate the Civil Service and promote better service delivery, the statement added, thanking the outgoing permanent secretaries for their “selfless service” to the state and wishing them enjoyable retirement.

The Governor had recently approved eight new permanent secretaries, in what was the first batch of the gradual but steady change of guard at the top echelon of the state civil service.

Those recently appointed were Bamigbe Rotimi Williams (Energy); Musa Idris (Justice); Nurudeen Maryam (Agric); Goshi Jiya (Civil Service Commission); Adeosun Mary (Education); Ibrahim Adenike (Social Development); Ayinla Olayiwola (Health); and Alabere Ahmed (Local Government).
