Health workers' Allowance: A plus for AbdulRazaq By Babatunde Opoola.
Testimonies abound of excellence in the field of health care delivery by the Kwara State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) on Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. The Association has hailed AbdulRazaq for fulfilling his promises to pay allowances of the health workers in the front line of Covid-19 campaign.
It is no surprise that the NMA says it is proud to have AbdulRazaq as Governor in kwara. The Governor's approval of N25,000 as daily allowances for medical doctors and between N15,000 and N5,000 for other health workers at the front line of our fight against Covid-19 agreeably is a historical figure. This is against the backdrop of a state which has just emerged from a horrendous economic destruction, yet witnessing developments at almost every fronts.
This latest credibility booster is coming less than a month after the Federal Government ranked Kwara as one of the best six states in the Covid-19 response. Every Kwaran, irrespective of where they reside, should be proud of Governor AbdulRazaq.
In spite of unspeakable odds and challenges, mostly man-made, which he has had to face from day one, AbdulRazaq has continued to soldier on, believing like Albert Einstein that '"every great story on the planet happened when someone decided not to give up but kept going no matter what".
Let everyone pray for this promising Nigerian and indeed Kwara. Let our prayers ascend to God for His security and well being in the task of taking kwara to a prosperous level. May AA succeed.
