Kwara Govt To enforce COVID-19 border lockdown in Totality, as Security Agencies get Logistics
Kwara State Government is to provide security agencies in the state with logistic support to enforce COVID-19 border lockdown. The Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi announced this during his compliance monitoring tours to Kwara-Osun and Kwara-Kogi borders.
This was disclosed to the media yesterday 17th May 2020 through an official statement issued by Modupe Joel, Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor.
Mr Alabi who is also the Chairman, Kwara Technical Committee on COVID-19 tasked the security agents at the borders to ensure stricter enforcement of the border lockdown.

The Deputy Governor, who was accompanied by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Raji Razak, assured that Kwara State Government would strengthen the security agents with logistics and other support to make the job of preventing unauthorized entry into the state easier.
Briefing the Deputy Governor, security officers manning the borders identified logistics as major hindrances to effective policing of the boarders and called for synergy with security agents in the neighbouring states.
