10,162 total cases of COVID-19 was recorded Nigeria on Sunday 31st May 2020 after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported over 307 new cases from across the country.
This latest figure makes Nigeria the country with the third highest number of COVID-19 infections in Africa behind both South Africa – 30,967 and Egypt – 23,449.
The NCDC, in its latest update via its Twitter handle, @NCDCgov, gave the breakdown of the figures as follow:
