Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Monday met with the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Otunba Niyi Adebayo as part of the Governor's efforts to attract investments into the state.
The meeting, which took place at the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment in the capital city Abuja, centred around how Kwara could tap into some of the investment windows available at the ministry.
The focus of the visit includes the proposed Free Trade Zones, which are targeted at creating jobs for Nigerians, especially the youth, and economic diversification.
Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, is being tipped to be the hub of the industrial park in the north central region because of its strategic location in central Nigeria.
When set up, the industrial park is to attract Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs), increase export and capital flows into the country.
