Leading stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have challenged the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to rise up to his call to leadership and stem the many festering crises now rocking the ruling party.

It is against this background, and firm step to rein in APC National chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the stakeholders say, Tinubu’s desire to step into the shoes of President Mohammadu Buhari in 2023 will materialize.

The group alleged that the APC national leader has allowed Oshiomhole to denigrate the APC constitution drafting in a member of PDP whose is facing EFCC prosecution to run for the ticket of the party in Edo State.

In an open letter addressed to the APC national leader, APC leaders numbering 12, feel that Asiwaju Tinubu has not done enough political engineering with the aim to bring sanity to the ruling party.

The letter entitled APC Crisis: It Is Time For APC Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu To Demonstrate Democratic Leadership!, was signed by founding members of APC, some leaders of the legacy parties the coalesced to form the APC.

They include Alh. Salihu Mustapha, Chief Polycap Udah, Capt. Mohammed Bala Jibrin, Mr. Ray Morphy,Alh. Umar Kachalla Zubair, Dr. Sylvanus Amechi and Alh. Shaba Emangi. Others are Chief Emeka Enechi, Hon. Charles Idahosa, Hon. Mohammed Aboki Mahmud, Prince Mackor Shaka Momodu, Alh. Yesufu Omonemi.

The APC stakeholders warmed Tinubu of the danger of tying his fate with Oshiomhole saying he has a historical duty to right the wrongs which he and Buhari suffered due to impunity

When APC took over the mantle, according to them, the expectations was that the nation has entered a new era of genuine democratic politics devoid of imposition and dictatorial tendencies have been defeated.
They however regretted that the expectations have been defeated.

“President Buhari has so far concentrated his energies, and rightly so, on building an enduring framework for good governance and the turning around of the national economy.
