The Kwara State Government has mandated all the Workers under the payroll of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Local Government Area Staff operating their salary account with Micro-Finance Bank to henceforth open an account with any Commercial Bank of their choice.
The Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajiya Aisha Ahman Pategi gave the directive on 23rd June 2020, in her Office. The Honourable Commissioner disclosed that the step was necessary as part of ongoing efforts to sanitize their payroll system.
Hajia Aisha, however, added that her Office is wide open to assist any of them finding it difficult to migrate their salary account from the Micro-Finance Bank to the Commercial Bank as mandated.
