The Commissioner, who reaffirmed that the government is already contemplating on allowing resumption of religious activities in the Mosques and Churches  come June 5, maintained that it will not take it lightly any violation of the guidelines by heads of congregations, which according to him, could be inimical to the public health and indicative of being sabotours.

He said apart from the existing guidelines of washing hands, wearing face mask, maintaining social distance and regular use of  sanitizers, no religious centres will be allowed to let in the children, persons above age 65 or those with underlying health conditions and women (Mosque), at least for time being. He said it beomes imperative for all Kwarans to reason along with the government's steps towards guaranteeing their protection, which he said, must occupy heart of any responsive leadership.

He commended the deputy governor - Led Technical Committee on Covid19 for efficient service delivery and the frontline healthcare givers in various isolation centres for their sacrifices, patriotism and commitment to saving lives of fellow human beings.

Olarewaju, while reiterating the government's proactiveness against the spread of the disease and to promote public health safety in the state, said kwara is among the highly rated states that take the pandemic with all seriousness, urging, however, the populace to cooperate with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in his efforts to transform all sectors and place the state where it belongs.

He also said the rate at which Governor AbdulRazaq has committed efforts and financial resources to transform  health sector, as evident in the size of equipment and other essential medical facilities procured as well as the revival of the state oxygen plant to strengthen the  capacity to manage serious health cases like covid19, it is enough to say kwara has not remained the same.
