Chairman Salman Shagaya Foundation Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya has commiserated with the family of Mr Olanrewaju Oba, Founder of The Olanrewaju Foundation (TOOF), who died today after a brief illness.
“On behalf of all members of SSF and my family, we mourn with the family of Oba Olanrewaju, TOOF family, the entire friends, and associates, and the people of Kwara state over the death of the young philanthropist. It was an indescribable calamity,” Shagaya said in a statement by his spokesman Ibraheem Abdullateef.
“The young man demonstrated humility, kindness, and dedication to humanity. He epitomised the brilliance and enterprising spirit of the Kwara youth. Although we never met or had any dealing, I was particularly impressed he gave so much to society at such a young age. It is a big loss for the state, most especially the youths, and a timely lesson for everyone. We stand strongly with the family in this trying period, and pray Almighty Allah to comfort them, forgive his trespasses and grant him aljannah Firdaus.”
