...Candidates Will Write Exams On Sunday
The Nigeria National Office of the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has confirmed the dates earlier announced by the Federal Government that its school-based examination will hold from August 3rd to September 5th, 2020.
Head of the Nigeria Office, Mr Patrick Areghan, disclosed this during a press briefing held at the Yaba office of the regional examination body.
Recall that the examination was postponed due to the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Areghan explained that the examination, earlier scheduled to take place the 6th of April and 5th of June 2020, now holds from 3rd August and 5th September, 2020 covering a space of five weeks.

Announcing the new development, the WAEC HNO said the examination would now hold all through the week from Monday to Sunday for the period for 786,421 males and 763,042 females registered from 19,129 schools nationwide.
“Schools must provide wash hand buckets with running water, soaps, hand sanitisers, and thermometer hand-gun to check the temperature of all concerned,” he added.
