EXCLUSIVE: Intrachem gives electricity to Ogun communities

A leading supplier of explosives and initiating systems, leading in civil and commercial explosive in Nigeria, Intrachem Limited has again presented electrification materials to two hosting communities in Obadaoko, Abeokuta North/South Local Government of Ogun State to ensure steady power supply.

Presenting the electrification materials to the benefitting communities on behalf of the Chairman, Mr Adetokunbo Martins and the entire Board of Directors,
the Managing Director of the company, Barister Abiodun J. Abu, said that the gesture was part of the corporate responsibilities of the company.

He said that the company was also committed to ensuring its host communities enjoy standard of living.

Barrister noted with pleasure, the peaceful coexistence between the company and host communities for the past 35 years, urging the communities to sustain the tempo with a view to fostering continuous development among them.

He added that the peaceful coexistence of the host communities had gone a long way in creating a conducive environment for business of the company to strive.

Speaking on the provision of electrification materials, he said that the would boost the business of locals in the area and enhance standard of living of the residents..


He added that lack of stable electricity had brought about untold hardship to the people of the area, especially on economic and social activities. "Several small and medium scale businesses might have been folded up due to poor power supply".



Receiving the items, some elders of the communities commended the company for the outreach as they said the company did not only touch personal lives of the people of the community but also their source of livelihood.

They said the community never regretted of hosting Intrachem as the company have brought lots of fortunes and respite to the community.
