IEUDI express shock over Kwara chief of staff's death



 Ilorin Emirate for Unity and Development initiative has condoled with the people and government of kwara State on the death of the chief of staff to the Governor  Alhaji Adisa Logun who died from complications of corona virus. 


The group in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Abdulrazaq Salaudeen said its deeply pained by the death Logun describing his death as a National loss, owing to the fact that he served the state at the diligently and selflessly, stressing that he left an indelible mark on the sands of time. 


"We accept the fact that death is a necessary end for all mortals. He lived an exemplary and most inspiring life; he motivated and touched many lives in so many places, now he’s suddenly gone! We testify to his patriotism to administrative duties of the present administration for the benefit of the people of kwara State".


The group then prayed Allah (SWT) to grant the soul of the deceased Aljannah Firdaus and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss. 


 Adisa Logun,  aged 73 years was an elder statesman and administrator per excellence. He was one of few Ilorin sons, who ventured into private sector, when working for government was in vogue, he was a grassroot developer, a community leader, a family man to the core and above all he was a devoted Muslim.


 An  industrialist  of note, was an alumnus of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies ,NIPSS, Kuru, Jos. 


 A product of Barewa College, Zaria, Logun , attended the King’s College, Lagos and he later received  a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Southborough University of Technology; and a Master’s of Science (M.Sc.) from the Birmingham University both in the United Kingdom.


 He, at various times, worked at Lever Brothers, Port Sunlight, UK; Cerekem Arhus, Denmark; North Brewery Limited Kano; Ajaokuta Steel Company; and the Nigeria Iron Ore Mining Company, Itakpe. He was also the General Manager of the New Nigeria Development Company.
