The Kwara state Commissioner for Energy, Hon Lafia Aliyu Kora Sabi during the official handover ceremony of a rural electrification project in Ilorin South LGA of the state assured Kwarans of the present administration's commitment to provide consistent power supply to all homes in the state.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had expressed concerns over the epileptic nature of power supply to different parts of the state, a development that is having adverse effects on economic growth and development as most of the small and medium scale businesses whose survival depends on power from the national grid are affected.
The Commissioner urged the benefiting community to take responsibility by ensuring that the newly installed transformer is protected from vandals, noting that maintenance of the facility is important.
