The Kwara State Government has concluded the arrangements to distribute sporting materials to selected secondary schools across the State. This information was made available and disclosed to 9japarrot, following the press statement from the office of The Press Secretary, Ministry of Sports and Youth Development.
The press statement by the Press Secretary, Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Dr. Sangodare Ayinla,reads as follows;
The Honourable Commissioner, Mrs. Joana Nnazua Kolo, today said that the gesture is in congruence with Governor AbdulRazaq's resolve to revolutionize the State' sports sector especially through grass-root sports development.
She noted that the beneficiaries are drawn from all the sixteen Local Government Areas in the State, adding that this is another phase in terms of sporting equipment distribution since the inception of the present Administration.
The Commissioner, who disclosed that the beneficiaries had been earlier notified, then called on the concerned schools to come to the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development tomorrow, 7th of July, for their packages.
Kolo further commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his determination to enliven the history of sports in the State.
