REDEFINED GOVERNANCE: KWARANS ARE GRATEFUL- By Niniola Adeoti

There is always a saying about change. It is a general belief that it is, constant; you cannot force it. It happens with time, it has been predestined to happen, and humans have little power on how it unfolds. We should just brace up and face the reality that things would not be stagnant forever. Human's life are subjected to change from cradle to adulthood till death. Change is what we can't bend or bind. 

Such is the case of Kwara in the last general election; the enough is enough song took over the nooks and crannies of the state. Kwarans wanted fresh air, and they believe voting in the AbdulRahman proposed administration was the best answer. They did with faith, and now they are enjoying the sweetness of having a committed and hardworking governor in the driver's seat. 

In recent times, the neglected northern parts of the state are witnessing changes under the AbdulRahman-led government. From Kaiama to Pategi, down to Baruten, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is fulfilling his campaign promises. "He is constructing our roads; he is building our schools, he takes our health as his utmost priority; we are grateful to God and Governor AbdulRahman." 

As a Kwara indigene, one won't find fault in the everyday running of this administration since its coming to power. Except for some vocal minorities in the ruling party, some acclaimed NGOs and anti-government/anti-democracy groups claiming to be pro-democracy groups whose ox has been gored, although, they are the bad eggs portraying themselves as the best things AbdulRahman could have. They are liars. They don't want the progress of this state. All they want is eating the state to dry. 

One would wonder how things have been changing for better in the state in the space of one year. We can all see it. The impaired can feel it. Well-meaning Kwarans are appreciating it. But over to bitter-enders and Kwara enemies, they are anti-democracy in disguise, and their sole aim is how to destabilise this administration with their fake advocacies. 

Sadly, they were around during the last administration, organising training for students in primary and secondary schools, and a bit wonder how they turned to a pro-democracy group overnight. Is the power of money not more than anything? That's the power of a strong sponsor. We wish them good luck in all their endeavours, but we wish the Kwara government all the best in shaming the bitter-enders. 

Cheers to the better change that groups like KSIF and co didn't envision to happen to Kwara. Kwarans are happily appreciating their collective decision in the last election. More of KSIF cannot stop the good work of the AbdulRahman-led administration as more of fake news carriers can't stop the good things Kwarans are experiencing in recent times.
