CELF: Emir applauds HICA, as orientation programme hits Kaiama



As the event day moves more closer, and in preparation for the Countryside Emerging Leaders' Fellowship (CELF). The Organizer, Haashim Initiative for Community Advancement (HICA) 'orientation programme has been extended to Kaiama Local Government of the northern part of Kwara State.

While in Kaiama, the team were applauded by the Emir of Kaiama Emirate,Alhaji Muazu Sheu Umar , for the great initiative.

Alhaji Muazu Sheu Umar also appreciates the organizers, Haashim Initiative for Community Advancement (HICA),for selecting Kaiama indigenes for the project for the Countryside Emerging Leaders' Fellowship (CELF) 

The Emir, gave this commendation while receiving the CELF Team who paid him a courtesy visit in his palace on Thursday. This is indeed a timely and purposeful programme, He said

"We thank you for remembering Kaiama Emirate for this initiative against all odds, notably the condition of the road which you plied to this place. If you had stayed back in Ilorin, we wouldnt have known about CELF, The Emir said.


The Emir further stated in his words;

"I was informed about the issue you encountered on your way coming and I thank you for the good gesture you extend to us. We also thank all your promoters and sponsors for their kind-heartedness."

Similarly, Alhaji Umar solicits stakeholders to partner with CELF, and He as well pledged the support of the Emirate for the success of the project.

Earlier in his reaction, the CELF Coordinator, Kaiama Local Government, Mr. Usman Bio Yaqub decribed the project "as a welcome idea" and solicited for more slots for Kaiama indigenes.

Similarly, CELF Coordinator, Baruten Local Government, Mr. Ibrahim Semo Musa added that the orientation programme has made them appreciate the project and assured that parents of the shortlisted candidates would be contactwd and sensitised on the project.


Participants were trained on community development, CELF and roles of the project coordinators.
