The Kwara State Sports Ministry has approved tournament to promote and identify table tennis talents from grassroots level
A reports from Sportpronews authoritatively confirmed that the State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has approved the Governor's Table Tennis Championship in Tsaragi part of Kwara state.
This was disclosed on Friday when the organizers of the Championship visited Tsaragi in Edu Local Government Area of the State ahead of the commencement of the competition.
During the visit, the leader of the Local Organizing Committee LOC, Femi Olabode who is the chair of the Local Organizing Committee LOC made it known that the visit was necessary as part of the committe preparation ahead of the commencement of tournament.
The Championship which was sponsored by the State Government is organized by Silverwall Consult with the aim of discovering talents, promoting, and developing the sport at the grassroots.
Secondary Schools students in Edu Local Government including Unity Secondary School, Tsaragi, and Bata Kinti Community Secondary School in Dumagi are expected to partake in the League.
