The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lagos State chapter, has given a former Ekiti state governor, Peter Ayodele Fayose seven days ultimatum within which to retract and apologize for the deliberate unwarranted vituperation on all her elderly chieftains in the state chapter of the party.
Fayose had last week said Chief Olabode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the party is responsible for the party’s electoral loss in the state.
However, the PDP in a statement by Taofik Gani said Fayose should apologise or be declared a persona non grata in all the party’s activities in the state.
“An incident which said Fayose presented as advice but turned out to be attempt to incite the youths against the elderly chieftains of the State chapter.”
“According to the Lagos State PDP, Fayose will be declared Persona non grata in all her indoor and outdoor activities from Monday 12th October 2020, unless he, Fayose, purges himself of the grave nuisance value arising from the unsolicited, rabid & divisive advice.”
“Initially, we took Fayose as PDP “Alawada” and his character as attacking us to win the coming bye elections, because indeed all the candidates that Fayose disparaged in recent times have gone ahead to win their elections. E.g Sen. Biodun Olujimi, Obaseki, etc.”
However a second thought allows us to sympathize with his early senility and self inflicted imbecility. Thus we have also started prayers on his behalf to save him from likely suicide out of obvious depression and frustration”.
Declaring further, the Lagos State PDP, describes the former Ekiti state governor as a sadist, confucianism and agent provocateur in politics, especially, inimical to the advancement of South West region. “Indeed a disgrace and negative role model to the younger ones”.
The Lagos State PDP opines that only a sadist, mischief maker or rooky politician would decide to peel healing wounds, like creating more political foes, at a period very close to major elections.
“We are nearing very important elections in the state to take us into winning Lagos State in 2023 general elections. We need all togetherness and complementary efforts possible of the Old, young, male, female.”
“It is thus shocking that a supposed leader would come to our state to ‘tear’ us apart rather than give positive and progressive uniting advice to us. We will hold Fayose responsible for any future election loss in Lagos State and indeed the SouthWest.”
