Ilorin Central Mosque BoT shower encomiums on AbdulRazaq, as Eid Praying ground get CofO approval

The Board of Trustees of the Ilorin Central Jummat Mosque has shower praises and appreciations on the Executive Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the approval and issuance of Certificate of Occupancy on the parcel of land located along New Yidi Road, Ilorin being used as Ilorin Eid Praying Ground.

The appreciation letter made available to 9japarrot, duly signed by the BoT Chairman, Hon. Justice Abdulkadir Orire, CON, the Sarkin Malami and Marafan Ilory, and as announced by  Alhaji Shehu Abdulgafar, OON, Dan Madami of Ilorin, who is the Secretary, Board of Trustees,

The Board of Trustees of the Ilorin Central Jummat Mosque, under the Chairmanship of Hon. Justice Abdulkadir Orire, CON, the Sarkin Malami and Marafan Ilory, expresses sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State for the approval and issuance of Certificate of Occupancy to the Ilorin Muslim Community on its parcel of land located along New Yidi Road, Ilorin being used as Ilorin Eid Praying Ground.

The Board's appreciation also goes to His Royal Highness, Mai Martaba Sarkin Ilory, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR, the Emir of Ilorin for endorsing the acquisition of the Certificate of Occupancy in favour of the Ilorin Central Jummat Mosque Board of Trustees.

We also appreciate the role played by Alhaji Umar Aminu Saro, OFR, the Sardauna of Ilorin who provided the eye-opener on the necessity for the document. Alhaji Saro relived the sad experience of the Lagos Muslim Community that lost the Obalende Eid Praying Ground due to non-possession of official document. According to him, a piece of land at Obalende earlier allocated to the Lagos Muslim Community since the colonial era for use as Eid Praying Ground was later reallocated for other purposes by subsequent administrations because the Muslim Community could not come forth with any formal document on its claim of ownership. He expressed aversion for such a situation and would not want such to befall the Ilorin Muslim Community now or in the future. He therefore led a delegation on the matter to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin who instantly endorsed the initiative of obtaining a Certificate of Occupancy on the Ilorin Eid land in the name of the Ilorin Central Jummat Mosque fund being the only Body Corporate owned by the Ilorin Muslim Community. It must be put on record that Alhaji Umaru Saro also reached out to His Excellency, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State to facilitate prompt approval and issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy. 

The entire Ilorin Muslim Community is indeed grateful to Alhaji Umaru Aminu Saro for all his efforts. 

The Board of Trustees further wishes to seize this opportunity to congratulate the entire Ilorin Muslim Community on the achievement and to bring to the notice of the general public that the Kwara State Government has issued a Certificate of Occupancy on the Eid Praying Ground situated along New Yidi Road, Ilorin in the name of the Board of Trustees of the Ilorin Central Jummat Mosque and is now a legal property of the Ilorin Muslim Community.

To every individual, group of individuals and Government agencies that contributed in one way or the other to the success of obtaining the Certificate of Occupancy, we say Jazakumullahu Khairan.
