The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari held meeting with his newly appointed service chiefs earlier today, Wednesday at the Presidential Villa.
According to source made available to 9japarrot, it was gathered that this is the first time the president will be meeting the security chiefs since their appointment on Tuesday.
The President said in his statement;
‘I met with the Service Chiefs today. They’re fully aware of the high expectations of Nigerians regarding security nationwide.
I reminded them their loyalty is to Nigeria, and asked them to prioritize the welfare of their officers & men. As their C-in-C my full support is assured’ the president tweeted on Wednesday.
Recalls that the president had on Tuesday approved the appointment of Major-General Leo Irabor as Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff; and Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao as Chief of Air Staff.
