A former Osun Central Senator, Adebayo Salami has died.
Bayo Salami is said to have died in the US due to COVID-19 complications, at the age of 68
Adebayo Ayoade Salami was elected Senator for the Osun Central constituency of Osun State, Nigeria at the start of the Nigerian Fourth Republic, running on the Alliance for Democracy (AD) platform. He took office on 29 May 1999.
Bayo was at a time agubernatorial candidate of National Republican Convention (NRC), and contested against Late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke of Social Democratic Party (SDP).
