The statement made available to 9japarrot reads as follows;

It would be recalled that notice of recruitment of Revenue Officers into 11 Area Offices of the Service, (Baruten, Edu, Ekiti, Ifelodun, Irepodun, Isin, Offa, Oke-Ero, Oyun, and Patigi Local Government Areas) was published on the 9th of April, 2021 and interested applicants were requested to put in their applications online between the 12th and 16th of April, 2021.

A total of 12,056 (Twelve Thousand, and Fifty Six) applications were received within the period the application portal was opened, with gender distribution of 63% and 37% males and females respectively. 1,663 applicants were shortlisted for the Computer Based Test (CBT) but only 1,315 sat for the test.

A key factor in the shortlisting process was the matching of current place of residency as stated by each applicant to the preferred Area Office indicated by each applicant.
