Journalists, Others Camp Outside Court As IPOB Leader, Kanu Awaits Trial

Reasonable number of journalists are camping outside the premises of the Federal High Court Abuja in anticipation of the commencement of the trial of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Kanu’s trial commences today after his arrest three weeks ago in Kenya.

There have been controversies and condemnations over the attempts to shut out many journalists and others from the courtroom.

A memo by the court had earlier shown that only 10 media houses have been accredited to be in the court premises.

It has therefore been observed that many are outside and across the road waiting for the arrival of the IPOB Leader.
