The latest ranking of Nigerian Universities has confirmed the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, as the best state university in the country beating other versity like Lagos State University, Kwara State University, Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma and others.
The university which is owned by the Oyo State government is also rated as the fourth best varsity in the country.
The Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr Lekan Fadeyi, in a statement on Monday said the body made the announcement of the ranking on Monday.
He added that the body ranked the University of Ibadan, Redeemers University and Covenant University only ahead of LAUTECH.
The statement read, “The university (LAUTECH) owned by the Oyo State government, is coming after the University of Ibadan, Redeemers University and Covenant University.
“Titled 2021 ranking of Nigerian universities, the ranking instituted by the National Universities Commission , as one of the several drivers of quality improvement of Nigerian University system was powered by the League of Directors of Academic Planning of all universities in Nigeria.”
