Senator Lola Ashiru Thanks Delegates, Kwara South For Affirming His Candidacy To Seek Re-election

The incumbent senator representing Kwara South Senatorial district, Senator Lola Ashiru has thanked the good people of Kwara South for reelecting him as the flagbearer under the All Progressive Congress (APC) to seek a second term in office as a senator.

Senator Lola Ashiru in his acceptance speech after emerging as the winner as declared by INEC during the Saturday Kwara South APC Senatorial primaries election that was held at Idofian said;

In our quest to continue to serve our people and to build on the strong foundation we have laid for the past three years, the good people of Kwara South through their various delegates have spoken, and have affirmed my candidacy to retain the Senatorial seat come 2023.

First, this Victory belongs to God, who has counted us worthy to be alive and to live in a peaceful environment where we can vote and be voted for. Alhamdulillah Rabbil alameen.

Secondly, this victory is for the people who ensured that the best hands remain at the helms of affairs. I thank you for your confidence and support which led to my emergence as the APC flag bearer for the Kwara South Senatorial District and I promise to justify the confidence reposed in me more than I have done in the last three years.

Let me also commend my brothers whom we contested together, for me this victory is for all of us because we all have the interest of Kwara South and the entire state at heart and we shall continue to build it together.

The battle is not over. While we have succeeded in securing the ticket that will ensure continuity in masses-friendly projects and rural/urban development, it is our collective duty never to relent until this mandate is delivered.

Please let the spirit of love, friendship, and patriotism of our great party the APC remain our watchword as we gradually approach the 2023 general election.
