The flag bearer of the Accord Party for Kwara South Senatorial District, His Excellency, Amb. Olutola John Onijala has raised concern over the clash that broke out between the Cattle Traders at Ajase-Ipo Kara Market and members of the Odua People’s Congress (O.P.C).
While condemning the avoidable violence that led to loss of lives through his Media Team, the Career Ambassador sues for peace among the conflicting parties and urged them to avoid same or similar occurrence in the nearest future by tolerating each other.
He commended the proactive efforts of H.R.M, Oba Ismail Muhammed Atoloye Alebiosu, the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo for forestalling the violence which could have degenerated into inter-ethnic conflict.
He also commended the officers of the Nigerian Police Force for their promptness and professionalism in handling the matter.
Amb. Tola Onijala concluded by suing for peace as he stated that “peace is the bedrock for development in a sane environment.”
“Meaningful development which is more needed in our region can only be achieved when we live peacefully and harmoniously.”
