Again, major political parties (PDP, APC) suffer set back as hundreds of their members defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State on Sunday, 2nd October 2022.

The Osi ward 1 leader expressed dissatisfaction with how the current Leaders, Govt, and representatives are running the affairs without any tangible development for the community. He said, with the coming of ADC to the community, he's rest assured that the party is the only alternative that will bring developments to Osi and gives the youth sense of belonging.
On his part, Hon. Stephen Ariyo Odeyemi, the ADC Assembly Candidate for Ekiti LG Constituency reiterates that the people will never regret voting for him and all ADC candidates.
He established that he is a seasoned politician who understands the wants of the people and terrains of the Ekiti local government.
He added that with the numbers of decampees today, he is rest assured that the party is confident of victory coming to the 2023 general election.
He admonished the defectors not to be intimated by bullies from other parties.
Our people are wallowing in abject poverty due to the lackadaisical attitude of the current leadership and their lack of competencies. We certainly can't continue like this. Hon Stephen Ariyo added.
Hon. Afolagun ADC House of Reps candidate for Ekiti/Oke-ero/Isin/Irepodun added that in the history of Kwara South, no indigene of Ekiti has ever been House of Reps. Where's the justification for equality? He said beyond being competent, he believes he has all takes to deliver as the next reps of the Constituencies.
Afolagun said the best that can ever happen to Kwarans comes 2023 is to ensure that all ADC candidates are voted in.
The excited decampees reiterate unwavering support and loyalty to the party and vow to ensure that they work towards the success of the party coming to the 2023 general election.
