••We Have created Over 200 jobs -ASKOMP Chairman
The Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) on Tuesday met the newly appointed Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, Mr Jerry Kolo.
ASKOMP members led by its Chairman, Salihu Shola Taofeek held interactive session with Jerry Kolo at Kwara North Development Council (KWANDCO) Office in Ilorin.
In his remarks, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Jerry Kolo solicited for support of the association, noting that the association comprises reputable Online Media Platforms with wide reach.
Kolo while acknowledging the misgivings of ASKOMP, said his office will create conducive environment for mutually rewarding relationship in order to achieve results.
The former Students' leader disclosed that Governor Abdulrazaq has transformed Kwara State with implementation of people's friendly programmes and policies.
Earlier, ASKOMP Chairman, Salihu Shola Taofeek said the association is umbrella body for about 40 Online Media Platforms with credibility, competence and track record in the media industry.
Salihu Shola Taofeek disclosed that ASKOMP members have provided sustainable employment for over 200 jobs and also contributing to the state economy by paying taxes to government.
He insisted that the association would continue to uphold ethics of journalism and work with others to sanitize Online Media space in Kwara State.
ASKOMP Chairman revealed that members honored his invitation due to good relationship they have built with him over the years.
