Kwara Youths and Women on Friday in their thousands of numbers staged solidarity walk in Ilorin, the state capital to pledge their unalloying support for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's reelection and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The street rally led by Director General AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Campaign Council, Amb Yahaya Seriki Gambari kicked off at Kwara State Stadium and the enthusiastic APC supporters move to different parts of the ancient town including major markets like Oja-Oba, Oja tuntun, Ipata, Yoruba road, Post Office, Challenge and others.
They displayed banners containing name of political wards in the four local government areas within Kwara Central Senatorial district and other campaign materials to promote the state Governor who is seeking reelection.
While addressing newsmen at the State Secretariat in Commissioner Lodge Way, Amb Yahaya Seriki Gambari said APC remains the only formidable political party that can win election conveniently.
Yahaya Seriki who served as APC Campaign DG for Kwara Central during 2019 polls, says the outstanding performance of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will boost the chance of winning the elections.
According to him, APC is the only strong and formidable party in Kwara State. We are going to repeat the great feat of 2019 by winning from bottom to top (win every election). Today's rally is just for Kwara Central Youth only, imagine the crowd would be when we are having main campaign.
"I urge to to go back to your polling units and wards to mobilize support for Governor AbdulRazaq and other APC candidates. Vote APC for President, Senate, House of Representatives, Governorship and House of Assembly come 2023. The Governor has laid good foundation for development. He has implemented projects in every local government area. His impactful projects are scattered all over the state. He is running youth friendly and People's oriented government." He added.
Also speaking, Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi states that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq deserves second term judging by numerous achievements recorded within 40 months.
Prince Sunday Fagbemi therefore urged Kwarans to support the Governor to complete his goods and clear rots of the past.
The Deputy Campaign Director General who doubles as Kwara APC deputy Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Sanmari and Commissioner for Finance, Florence Olasumbo implored not to fall tricks of defeated dynasty that are desperately looking for ways to come back.
