The Kwara Marketers under the aegis of Kwara State Association of Marketers (KSAM), have reaffirmed their support for the Young Progressives Party (YPP) Governorship Candidate, Waziri Yakubu Gobir ahead of the March 11th elections.

The Association led by Iyaloja General, Alhaja Adenike Lambe gave the assurance on Friday during their engagement with the YPP Governorship candidate.

According to Iyaloja Lambe, “We are here today to reaffirm our support for you. The difference we have seen in you — your generosity and character are beyond a reasonable doubt; you are different from other politicians. Gobir in response appreciated the market leadership for supporting his candidacy but urged them to translate their support into votes.  He also assured the Marketers of his continuous patronage before and after the general elections.

Later in the day, Gobir joined other Muslim faithful to observe Jummat Prayer at Maraba Central Mosque.

Thereafter, the YPP Governorship Candidate and his running mate, Hon. Bolujoko George and their campaign entourage paid a visit to the secretariat of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, (NURTW), Maraba branch under the leadership of Alhaji Wahab Ajetunmobi.

In Gobir’s message to them, he explained, “my plans and vision are divine and I am not going to betray the trust of the masses if I am entrusted with your votes. There is little to what I can do with my resources but I can assure you each transporters policy that will improve your welfare and the resources you take to your families.”

He also urged the park Management and his supporters to be calm and law-abiding amidst the current scarcity of petrol and naira notes in the country.

In response, the General Chairman of Maraba Motor Park, Ajetunmobi appreciated Waziri Yakubu Gobir for the visit and charged the YPP Governorship Candidate not to forget his promises to the masses when elected.
