In continuation of ward-to-ward campaign tour to ahead 2023 general elections, the APC Senatorial Candidate for Kwara Central, Mallam Saliu Mustapha on Sunday led other party flagbearers comprising Hon Yinka Aluko of Ilorin East/ Ilorin South Federal Constituency and Hajia Maryam Aladi of Ilorin South State Constituency to canvass for votes and engage stakeholders.
The tour first berthed in Akanbi III where they addressed large number of APC members, supporters and residents at Markaz Ridwanulahi in Opolo. While in Opolo, Mallam Saliu Mustapha assured residents his readiness to raise bar in terms of representation, when elected as Senator come February 25, 2023.
The Turaki of Ilorin said he has been impacting different communities positively by drilling boreholes, grading roads, fixing electricity supply challenge and empowering people without holding Public Office, adding that electing him to represent Kwara Central in the Senate would give opportunity him to do more for the people.
The campaign train thereafter moved to Akanbi V where a Stalwart of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Mashood Mustapha sensitize residents on the need to vote all party candidates, noting the zoning of Senatorial and House of Representatives seats to Ilorin East and Ilorin South respectively was to promote inclusion in governance.
Hon Mashood Mustapha, a former House of Representatives member therefore charged people of Ilorin South local government to mobilize support for APC candidates during the general elections including Governorship/General elections slated for March 11.
The campaign took another dimension in Balogun Fulani ward I-III as Saliu Mustapha displayed street credibility by trekking to separate venue with other candidates and thousands of supporters where receiving cheers from residents.
Like they did in other wards, the Joint APC Campaign team paid homage to Baba'gba, Daudu Balogun Fulani and Balogun Fulani to seek royal blessing and share their agenda for the people.
At Balogun Fulani Ward I, Kwara State House of Assembly candidate for Ilorin South, Hajia Maryam Aladi promised to be a good ambassador of her people and work with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to deliver on APC manifesto, when given the mandate on March 11.
Excited and energetic supporters accompanied Saliu Mustapha and other candidates to Alangua Tanke's compound before moving to Ode Alangua where Hon Yinka Aluko addressed the supporters.
In his address, the APC House of Representatives Candidate for Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency promised to complement the State Government efforts in addressing challenges facing different communities, when elected.
According to Aluko, You have been feeling our impact before getting to office. We will not disappoint you, when elected as your representative in Abuja.
The joint campaign train of APC Candidates in Kwara Central would visit remaining five wards in Ilorin South local government on Monday February 13, 2023.
