Governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Nasarawa state, Joseph Ewuga has insisted that he is still in the race, contrary to speculations going on.
Speculations had been rife that Ewuga has stepped down for the candidate of another political party.
In a statement issued on Sunday in Lafia, Ewuga called on the people of Nasarawa to disregard any fake information about his stepping down for candidate of any political party.
He declared that he was still very much in the race to liberate the people of Nasarawa from Mal administration.
Ewuga described the rumour as a cheap blackmail by opposition parties to discredit his growing popularity.
He maintained that the LP remained the only party with the interest of the masses.
He added LP is the only youth-oriented party that will deliver free and qualitative education to youths as well as provide jobs for all.
While appreciating the people of the state for delivering LP party at the presidential election, Ewuga urged the people to come out en mass next Saturday and vote for him to be the governor of Nasarawa state as well as state assembly members.
