38- Year Old Danladi-Salihu Re-Elected As Speaker Of Kwara Assembly

The Speaker of the Kwara state House of Assembly Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu have been reelected as the speaker of the 10th assembly.

The 38 years old Danladi-Salihu was the Speaker of the 9th Assembly and was unanimously reelected by the House.

Hon Danladi-Salihu emerged following a motion for his nomination as Speaker by member representing Kaiama-Kemaji-Wajibe Constituency,  Abdullahi Halidu Danbaba and seconded by Fatimah Arinola Lawal  representing Ilorin-East 

Similarly, Emmanuel Ojo Oyebode of Oke-Ogun Constituency also elected as Deputy Speaker of House unopposed.

The inauguration of the Tenth Assembly was conducted by the Clerk of the House, Hajia Hameedah Jummai Kperogi at the Hallowed Chamber of the assembly , in Ilorin the State Capital

In his acceptance, the Speaker promised to justify the confidence reposed him by members and so applauded Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his giant strides in all sectors of the economy in the state.

Other Principal Officers of House are Hon. Oba Abdulkadir Mogaji representing Ilorin Central Constituency who was announced as the House leader, Hon.Medinah Abdulrahman, representing Lanwa Ejidongari Constituency, as  Deputy House Leader.

Hon. Abdulganiyu Abolarin-Gabriel of Ekiti Constituency emerged as Chief Whip while Mariam Yusuf Aladi of Ilorin South Constituency clinched the position of Deputy Whip of the House.

Our House of Assembly Correspondent, reports that the Tenth Legislature of Kwara State House of Assembly was Inaugurated  amidst mammoth crowd in Ilorin,  following issuance of a Proclamation by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in  compliance with section One Zero Five subsection Three  of the Constitution as amended

The Twenty-Four  lawmakers of the newly inaugurated Tenth of Assembly  consist of Five Female Lawmakers representing 24.5 Percent and a Peoples Democratic Party lawmaker, Otunba Taiye Afolabi of Odo-Ogun Constituency
