The Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial district, Senator Oyelola Ashiru has been presented with Leadership Award from Al-Hikmah University.
The Leadership award is in recognition of the Lawmaker's exemplary leadership and dedication to public service.
In her words, the Dean of Faculty of Management Sciences, Dr. Mrs. M.A. Aremu noted that the Deputy Senate Leader truly deserves the honour as a recipient of the Leadership award for his outstanding contributions to nation building and his commitment to the welfare of the citizens.
Receiving the Award on behalf of the Lawmaker at the event venue, Moot Court, Al-Hikmah University, Atere Campus, Ilorin was Mr. Tosho Alabi, Senior Legislative Aide to the President of the Senate.
The event featured the Faculty's conference with the Theme: Navigating Nigeria's Economic Realities: Individuals and Society in Focus.
The theme also encompassed significant sub-themes such as accessing Nigeria's economic trends: prospects and challenges, as well as the social impacts of economic realities on Nigerian communities, among others.
The impeccable gathering was graced by the University Founder, Chief Abdulraheem Oladimeji, the Vice-Chancellor and Principal Officers of the University, traditional leaders, and royal fathers including the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Olomu of Omu-Aran, and Alaa of Ilala. Also in attendance were representatives of the Kwara Assembly Speaker, Hon. Seun Ogunniyi, the Kwara First Lady, the Commissioner for Kwara Tertiary Education, and other distinguished personalities.
Other prominent figures who received awards for their remarkable achievements include Chief Abdulraheem Oladimeji, the University's founder, and Rt. Hon Yakubu Danladi, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly.
The Deputy Senate Leader's representative, Mr. Tosho Alabi, expresses gratitude to the university for acknowledging the Lawmaker's contributions and notable achievements and for the Leadership recognition award. He emphasizes that the Lawmaker will continue to improve the lives of citizens and remains open to collaborating with the university to achieve success and greater accomplishments.
