••• Beneficiaries to receive Start-up tools
The lawmaker representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has organized a three-day intensive training on solar power installation and maintenance for 200 Young people in his constituency
The three-day event which commenced on the 17th October 2024, is organized in collaboration with the Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI).
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Senator Saliu Mustapha who was represented by his legislative aide, Tunde Abdulkadir said the training is borne out of his desire to provide life skills for the teeming youths in his constituency.
Senator Mustapha disclosed that the beneficiaries who were drawn from the 4 local government areas that make up the Kwara Central Senatorial district would be provided with start-up tools after the training which they would be using in doing certain maintenance activities and even installation of solar power system.
The Senator further appealed to the beneficiaries to take the training seriously by utilising the opportunity provided by the training so as to be useful to themselves, families and the society.
Earlier in his remarks, Alh. Dan Musa, who is one of the trainers at the event, revealed that the beneficiaries had been equipped with the necessary skills for solar installations and maintenance.
While commending Senator Mustapha for his efforts in empowering youths in his constituency, he urged the beneficiaries to value the opportunity provided by the lawmaker.
On his part, the representative of Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI), Dr. Ayodele Olowogbayi, commended Senator Mustapha for his commitment in Youth Development, he urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the skills acquired and the tools that will be given to them.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the senator for the program, noting that the training had equipped them with valuable skills in Solar Power Installation and Maintenance.
They prayed to God Almighty to grant Senator Mustapha the zeal to continue doing more for the people of Kwara Central Senatorial District.
